I've been having weird suttering in games for a week now, and I dont know why.

I thought maybe it was because of the new nvidia drivers, but I reverted back to the previous one and experienced the same shit.

In games like SMITE, CS:GO, and now the Battleborn beta, my character just rubberbands every second or so.

My internet connection is fine, my rig is more than powerful enough, so I'm not sure what else could be causing this.

Finally got tired of this shit and this was my first idea.

Any better ideas to cool down the vram? It's so bad I bet using samsung or hynix would drop temps by almost 10 degrees c.

Memory overclocking only matters when you become bandwdith limited. AMD's current ultra-wide buses means virtually no vidya can saturate the bandwidth before you run out of raw gpu grunt. Nvidia's cards - especially the lower end ones are far more receptive to memory overclocks.

Or hell, just for a 970 to approach the bandwidth of a stock 390 for example the 970 needs to push its memory way beyond 8ghz (iirc - I forget the exact equation for working out bandwidth).

Regardless, you see the biggest gains on the slowest cards but thats still all relative.
