Should I hold on to my old CRT? I can't let go of it. I've had it since the day I was born, more than 25+ years. It's a 37 inch Sharp TV. Is there any reason anymore to hold on to a CRT in 2015-2016?

I like how you completely ignored the part where I called you out on their charging $100k for free software and them losing the top honors in their most prized accomplishment.

ITT: unpopular opinions about technology>Android is NOT power hungry, it just uses the available resources to work as fast as possible. Protip: unused RAM is wasted RAM >using deprecated hardware should be illegal. It's a pure waste of electrical power which leads to resource depletion on Earth. >Linux belongs to embedded devices; Windows Server is the only option for productive servers (other than so-called home servers meant to store loli pics of underaged chinese sluts). Every single company uses Windows because of the glorious AD and IIS services. >RMS is a fat virgin neckbeard. He's also a tinfoil believeing in government conspiracies.

-Canonical gets too much shit for Ubuntu. It's the only distro with a polished UI and where everything literally Just Werks. The Amazon botnet is annoying, but at the very least they're trying to find a way to make money and push desktop Linux forward. -Thinkpads are a damn good buy if you're a poorfag college kid who needs something durable on the cheap, but I don't understand why people with jobs actually like using deprecated processors and shitty screens. -The OS X UI is damn good after using it in person, screen shots don't do it justice. -Windows 10 is a damn fine OS, I'd be using it exclusively if not for the botnet concerns.

>unused RAM is wasted RAM I half agree. It doesn't make sense to leave RAM unused when you can do useful stuff like cache shit so apps are faster, granted the user's device has unused RAM. It's no excuse for shitty developers and their unoptimized piece of shit apps that are leaking memory like crazy.>old hardware is wasted energy That is bullshit. You probably waste 100000x more energy and water by mining new rare earths, refining them and assemble new hardware in high power factories than the 2W you probably save by going for a new model.
