I found a reference 290 (Sapphire) for $150.
I currently have a Gigabyte HD 7970 OC Edition.
If I buy the 290 for $150 or a little less if I can get the guy to drop the price... is it worth it, and is it possible to unlock all the cores and essentially swap BIOS to the 290x?
I'm aware it's going to be hot and loud.
If it's too loud/hot I'll sell it for more than I paid for it and just keep my Windforce 280x.
It's a win-win.
