My mother was with them for 4 years until last year, she often complained about how at peak evening times her net was slowing down but for a year it was getting worse and worse.
I went over one week day and checked it, running speed tests and it was down from 7mbs (She lives in a rural area, hence the shittyness) down to 0.4.
After looking in to it it turns out that TT are cheap as fuck, they rent the HW from the exchange from BT as cheap as possible, the cause of this slow down was her new neighbors also got some cheap shit so they were sharing limited bandwidth.
I got her on BT since they owned the HW and everything has been fine ever since. What pisses me off is that for 4 years they scammed her out of a shit load of money whilst she only could get 7mbs and when it went to shit they would do fuck all but charge her to have someone retard look at wires and say nothing is wrong.
