i have some headphones and some speakers, time to time i want to listen to music with my speakers, as i ussually use my headphones. what can i do to prevent myself from unplugging the headphones, and plugging in my speakers, so i can just turn something so it switches from one to another

your fucking sound chip in your mainboard, if you plug in both at the back and set both as audio output they will both work and you can turn off your speakers if you don't need them. if you are using a mainboard from the last century with only one output use a y-adapter. otherwise just build the switch yourself or even better, get proper speakers and stop listening with headphones like a pleb

If the audio devices are connected to one pc: change the output devices on the os.

If you want it wireless, or over your network, get two routers, then you can choose what router gives output. Recommended routers for this: Airport Expresses.

you could also go to amazon and search for "audio switch" or "3,5mm switch" or anything and you will see a lot of devices that will work. but a bit expensive, you can build it yourself in 2 minutes for 1$ if you know how to solder

This was easily done in the Realtek control panel if you have that. Let's you select front and rear output as separate streams
