I been looking for a chair for a few days now. I don't really trust these blog sites and amazon reviews all too much so I figured I'd ask here.

What is a well-built quality chair (preferably mesh) in the $100-200 range? I'm a simple guy I don't want to spend a ridiculous amount of money but I do want to make a smart buy. I realize the budget is a bit small and I will get what I pay for, but what is the king of this price range?

Yeah, it's exactly the same as the normal aeron.

The chair is really easy to dismantle into pieces, each part is basically screwed on. So if a piece of it is broken or torn, they just get other used aerons and change the parts until it's practically brand new.

They may have a few scuffs, but it's in perfect working order and costs far less than retail price. I don't regret it.

No. That a cubicle farm chair, companies do not pay anywhere near that much for individual chair. Its a 500€ chair at most.

I spent 1300€ and that chair costs 2500€ tops with leather. They last 10-15 years in 24/7 professional use. Sure I could pay 500€ for a chair that might break under my 85kg body in six months,

I used to sit in my older Embody for 8 hours a day easily. It was very comfortable, but as the chair was used so often the lower lumbar support would protrude more and would actually dig into the lower back, it was an annoyance but not painful.

Now I simply don't use my computer much anymore, maybe 2 hours a day max.

I bought a lightly used Embody for $600 and my back would ache badly from the lumbar support... that's why I asked.

I ended up reselling it for $700 and bought an Ikea Markus which is meh at best. Thinking of trying the Steelcase Leap.

How do the Steelcase Leap compare to the Aeron?

I use the SCL at work, they are great. Same price range as the Aeron.

It's more that meshy feel. Stock Aeron is kind of vanilla, I don't really like it. I have a SCL at my job as well and the lumbar makes such a difference. Aeron is ok, but I wouldn't shell out of it unless it came with the lumbar joint. ($120 on eBay I think)

Consider getting a normal office chair instead of a "gaming" chair. Wouldn't you feel a little embarrassed having guests over and they saw that you use a chair marketed towards children? Leap and Aeron are two popular choices.
