I feel like smartwatches are incredibly overkill for what they're trying to be.
A watch does not need a fucking quad core and a gig of RAM to tell me that I got a text message or check my email or see what the fucking weather is.
No wonder they all have such shitty battery life.
I think Pebble is the only ones doing it even remotely right.

I have a pebble and like it a lot. I'd go for the steel; I got the original and it's pretty easy to scratch. The battery life is great, it has some useful apps, but pebble has really perfected notification bumping, which is really the ultimate purpose of a smartwatch for me. Controlling your music from your wrist is a nice bonus when driving/running/cooking.
