Hey /g/, lets talk about planned obsolescence. I have an iPhone 5 since 2012. Actually it runs iOS 8.3

Recently i've changed the battery, power button and the camera. Everything was fine until last week when the battery drained in just 4 hours! normal use is about 6-7h. I'm so angry... the question I guess you guys could answer is: can somebody defeat by software the planned obsolescence of the iPhone? maybe with some work rooting the device, installing cydia or something?

Someone told me it did it on a Samsung G S3, literally stopped a kind of timer by rooting the device and bumped the software :/ I don't believe this but... ¿? could be?
