There are some pretty nice apps out there that will make your life much easier. Spectacle, BetterTouchTool, iTerm, and a good uninstaller is a nice start.

Other than that I suggest going through every option in System Preferences. There are a LOT of different options available, and its nice to be able to customize your trackpad gestures to suit your needs.

macbook air is shitty, dont try to be a heavy multitasking user, it`s pretty much for browsing, musing and light office work.
