Maybe I should post this on /biz/ instead but here goes. I'm an accountant/business degree student and I've recently learned that a lot of the basic accounting stuff is being replaced by cloud accounting and, in the future, automation.

So that leaves accountants/CPAs risk management, management of working capital and liquidity, and following up and forecasting profitability. Basically things like transaction processing and bookkeeping will offer less jobs in the future while reporting and controlling, liquidity management, planing and analysis will increase while most likely making it harder to land a safe job which finally leads me to my question. Should I quit my current studies and jump over to something tech related like comp sci or something? I've kinda always wanted to program and stuff which also allows me to post more on /g/ than I currently do

tl;dr automation are taking my jerbs should I study computer science or something?
