Well, the thing about Dvorak and Colemak is that all they do is change the layout of the keys. Plover lets you hit multiple keys in a specific phonetic order thus eliciting the specific word you wanted instantly.

The point is that the bottleneck between thought and print is now even looser than it is with regular everyday speech.
People can't really speed talk, but we in a world with speed readers and speed writers, we can convey things faster than ever thought possible.

not just any keyboard, it has to support key rollover, since you're essentially mashing combinations of multiple keys at any time.

I'd image using this keyboard would be similar to playing chords on a piano, or like a retard bashing at the keys.

Yes, but its still a qwert layout, even though its set up for steno, I'm talking about physical layout of keys versus that pretty neat set up that thing in the video has. A custom ergo steno keyboard is what im talking about versus a standard qwert

I don't know about you guys, but when I am programming I have never felt my typing slow me down. Even if I could type 1000wpm I doubt it would be a huge performance increase. Accuracy and comfort are my only considerations with a keyboard.
