Programming in JavaScript feels like programming one big hack. Everything is hacked onto each other and while it's easy to pick up it becomes a mess later on when your project gets bigger.

No proper exception handling, I can live with the dynamically typed variables but God damn, after spending a year learning how to Java and C#, I start hating JavaScript more and more every time I use it.

I don't even see the benefit of using node over django or something, unless you're going to do heavy realtime stuff.

Also OP you wouldn't know what makes a good language if you started with JavaScript. I'm sure some anons will hate on me for falling for the object-oriented meme, but at least it's better than the inconsistent memelanguage JavaScript.

If you don't know how to make an exception handler, you don't know how to properly use one, bud.

I'm serious. It's a prototypical language, the only reason variables are dynamically typed is because that's the default expression.
