Mainly because windows mobile os is unstable, has very little native apps, is is literally a fucking botnet. I know android is a botnet but it pales in comparison to how much windows mobile is spies on you. I also hate the fucking metro ui, it looked like shit on desktops and looks like shit on phones as well it seems. Finally the interface is too fucking complicated, you have to do like 1 million things to turn on bluetooth or wifi.

I actually had the displeasure to actually use a windows phone for a few minutes. Sorry but windows just can't make a good mobile os.

Try using a Windows Phone (actually using one, not just saying you did) and come up with some real reasons, Windows Phone is the most stable out there and things like Bluetooth/WiFi toggle are one swipe options... This is neckbeard central. What are you doing here? Android has a FOSS core, which I'd prefer to see expanded upon and improved, regardless of the cause. That aside, I can't say much about windows phone. I barely tried it on a friend's lumia, but it does feel like it wants you not to know what's going on under the hood, worse than ios. It's just a feeling, though.

3) If Google weren't shit there would be a native YouTube app, but they're not not-shit so therefore MetroTube or one of the alternatives

I have a 1.2GH quad-core A7 chip on my phone. Interestingly I can decode 1080p video in software mode just fine (if cpu is allowed to reach 1.2 GHz). Phone doesn't really get hot and it won't try to dim the screen like when it overheats in direct sunlight. I use HW+ to decode 1080p video since software mode kills my battery. This is for 8 bit h264 video though not 10 bit

For decoding Opus it doesn't use a lot of resources. In software mode only one cpu thread is stressed to 50% but it remains at 384 MHz most of the time though.

Used to have a wp8 phone, seriously considered getting one of the new handsets.

I decided not to get one:
-> no apps
-> no way to see how windows hello works
-> no 3d touch

ended up getting an iPhone 6s. That said, I really miss a lot of features of wp8.1. I will definitely consider switching back after a couple years. I think that we'll see a lot more apps on WP10 due to the fact that app creators can write an app 1 time and get it to work on all 3 systems.
