I live in an apartment building that has a notoriously bad network. Turns out some fucking douche's hardware is handing out IP addresses. He left the login as admin:admin.

How can I fix this?

also switch it to 2.4GHz if it's supposed to be long-range. 5Ghz is shorter range and interrupted more easily by walls and such.
Unless there's like 20 billion 2.4 networks running.

Look for port forwarding/dmz options. Can't be that hard to find unless you've literally never looked through a router configuration page before.
