XMPlay with the necessary plugins. It's lean, portable, and plays legacy and modern formats alike. It's not very libre, but it's old and very trustworthy, and you can skin it however you like. Or I might just be biased toward it because I play a lot of old MIDI and SID music.

not OP, and I use do use foobar, no issues. But I remember hearing maybe a year ago or so that there was an issue surrounding it. Does that ring any bells? I don't want my music player to go all botnet.

I use Winyl but it's got it's issues.

I'm just having a hard time finding a lightweight, decent looking music player with the playlist on right, songs on left format.

Foobar could do but it gets kinda bloaty if you theme it.

Can you edit the Clementine layout to be more like Spotify? I mean, not in aesthetics but window layout.
