OK guys, I thought ssd is a meme is a meme, but WTF? I just checked, I write about 5GB / day just by having my computer on and browsing the net.

So what now? I should move Maya, Browser caches, Steam (dem dota updates) to HDD or what? Whats the point of a SSD then? Fucking system boot times lol?

Fucking shit, should have just waited for 3D X-Point memory.

I bought a sandisk 128gb ssd and the fastest I've ever seen it go is 180MB/s sequential writes, I'm only getting like 30-40K IOPS on this thing.

Sandshit. That's what it is. All ssd's from Kingston and sandisk are unreliable trash. Half the speeds advertised, so I just settled for an 850 evo 250gb. Which has 500 write and 530 read. Bitch.

They switched the controllers in some of their models for cheap Chinese shit. I had a sandisk SSD plus 240gb, which had alot of reviews saying they switched mid production to save money.

and thats probably because even if you write 1B it has to overwrite entire block which is dont know how big right now.

I need to use Maya, I want to see render previews, animation previews every few minutes. The animation previews is like 1-5GB big each time. Because of a SSD, I have to move this to a classic HDD otherwise the SSD will be bricked in less than a year. Not like I already disabled everyting in the OS. SSD = you have to make changes (disable indexing lol and more) to your system because of a faulty technology which is stupid. You shouldnt have to care about such things. If I was microsoft I would say fuck it we wont disable hibernation/other ssd tweaks cuz because we detect SSD. Stop making faulty products if it cant even handle basic things like SWAP and memory dumps and ...and ....

My SSD was under £100 (£75 iirc). I don't give a shit if it only lasts 2 years the speed benefits are well worth it for me. I have had my SSD for 6 months and written 9.6TB. With this current use it will die in 3-4 years. That is fine for me. Fuck slow spinning drives that can break if I drop it or something.
