As long as the government agrees with you and isn't corrupt., that isn't necessarily a problem, since they won't abuse the information.
However, if you ever disagree with the government, or if they are ever corrupt, then there is no place that you can hide from them on the planet Earth, and nowhere you can post dissenting information without it being immediately logged and deleted.
That possibility is frightening to me, so I try my very best to make myself as difficult to track as possible, in the hopes that if some situation like this ever does arise that I might be able to scrounge up a little bit of freedom
