I wonder what /a/ would be like in the early 90s.
Fansubbing was much different.
Tapes were literally passed around and duplicated for the cost of materials so you really needed to know people in the scene.

This, plus more Amiga fanboyism, and Macs being less hated as hipster machines - though probably not less hated overall.

Also somewhat less Linux, and more of the commercial unixes.

Yeah those were good times. I spent £200 on my first CD burner, everyone though I was mad but I turned a profit in a few days. I'd hand out lists of music CDs and PS1 games and would get shitloads of orders every night.
