>>51036740Everyone would like some competition. It's just that people here seem to not realise that the competitor won't and can't show overnight. Aluminium macbook line exist since 2008 iirc, before that there were plastic ones, and it's constantly getting improved in many little things, marketing is great too, you see some photo of some musician or whatnot and if there is a computer in the picture likely it's apple, it's not even marketing anymore, it's just happens on it's own. I hope you see where I'm going. No one wants to put an effort to be a competitor to begin with, they just copy not even the design - just the looks, that minimalism with slight luxury, it's usually not even done very well, and with that and nothing else they try to "compete". Instead of creating their own audience like apple did they try to appeal to existing ones - to apple fanboys. But they don't care, because they are apple fanboys, and they love their products, and there are features like iMessage that they wouldn't want to lose no matter what. Maybe surface book will turn into something over next few years, but personally I don't like it because of that hinge and that os, some people would definitely love it though. But another chinese macbook look-a-like? Come on. It's not competition, it's just another laptop no one will ever care about.
