Im learning it right now, and im struggling with 2d arrays of chars, my two friends switched to c++, but im sticking with C and hating myself. be prepared to hate yourself.

Is it anything like assembly? I learned assembly for a specific type of microcontroller and I actually liked it.

never learned assembly, its just alot of manual things. Like strings for example. in javascript or high level strings just werk. but in C strings are arrays of characters and you use them like so. And pointers are a big deal at least from what ive seen, im still iffy with everything and why or when they need to be used.
