This is just from browsing 4chan and being in a Skype call (audio only). I've had this laptop for 4 years.
I'm thinking maybe the thermal paste on my cpu is messed up? Or if it's software based I have a virus? I don't even know. The laptop is like half off the edge of my desk so the fan isn't obstructed.

Check task manager
If the CPU is not 100% used all the time, it's a hardware problem. The thermal paste is usually fine, you have to clean the heat pipes near the fan
