I need some speakers for my TV.
2.0/2.1 is sufficient.
My budget is € 150-200.
TV is Samsung F6400, S/PDIF audio output only.

I do not need audiophile solution.
Still being able to use TV remote for volume control is a big plus.

What kind of setup should I look into?

MAudio monitors if you are cheap.

KRK Rockit 5 if you are not cheap.

Any stereo receiver and speakers you may have laying about.

Jumping into this thread with an angry fist. I have this piece of shit and it picks up Catholic talk radio if I'm not ultra careful with the cable arrangements. I looked some shit up and a lot of other people have the same issue, and electricians are blaming the lack of a grounding prong on the power cable.

I don't give a fuck if my speakers don't have a flawless freq response but radio interference is a dealbreaker. Motherfucker's telling me how to stay away from the occult and where to buy my advent calendars. I'm 800% done with this shit.

Given your claims of digital only output, you'll need a DAC that recieves S/PDIF over toslink (or coax if your tv supports it). Well performing DACs can be purchased cheap, such as the Fiio D3/D03K/Taishan or Fiio D2.
