Does anyone use these? Do they help at all? I usually just throw mine into my laptop slot of my bag or backpack and its fine so far.

I still use the one that came with my machine. Never had issues with other carried stuff getting into it, no dust, no pebbles, no other filth. So, yes, would recommend.
