Hey /g/
Running over from /3/.
I'm fairly computer illiterate when it comes to builds and optimization,I'd just like to get your advice.
If someone were to build a computer from scratch, is it worth it to build extremely high end and spend thousands (my budget at the moment is around 20k) or just get a mid level pc and swap out parts when necessary?
I'm thinking of replacing my home pc, which, while old still handles simulations and renders with relative ease.
Off the top of my head it's a first gen i7, msi 660ti, 32 gb ddr5 ram and normal non ssd hard drives.
I'm not sure if it's wise to spend a lump sum with the rate of advancement in technology or if i should just get something servicable.
What do you guys think? Any builds you could recommend? Normally high intensive cpu simulations, and real time renders which is gpu governed.
Also side note, is there that much of a difference anymore between quadro cards and high end "gaming" cards so to speak?
