Tell me if I've missed something because I think I fucked up.
>Buy Chromecast
>Buy new android phone (my old one was too old for this shit)
>Get movie through google play
>"Pin" (download) movie onto phone
>Cast to chromecast from phone through google movies app

Now what you would obviously expect is that casting a downloaded movie from the phone would be lag free because it's already downloaded, right?
From what I can see though, 'casting' in google movies app is simply telling the chromecast to stream the content from the internet and using the phone as a remote.
Meaning my shit connection chews up the stream and completely invalidates the point of downloading the thing in the first place.

Tell me I missed a setting or something, because I have no use for a chromecast if it's going to pull this bullshit.
