If you type a lot of emails, IM a lot, tumbly blog, code, shitpost so much you bought a 4chan pass? whatever, it makes it a lot easier on your phone, from a hassle with common fixing of mistakes to muscle memory.
touch typing blows and I'm typing this on Google Keyboard on a 2014 Moto X, by no means a shitty setup. Swipe typing usually has errors, and you rely on predictive fixing of spelling mistakes way too often, because touchscreens are super imprecise being flat
The extra step you take from taking out your keyboard is going to be much easier than constantly fixing the mistakes of a touchscreen keyboard
