Which is actually a point I wanted to raise OP. I understand this thing is a super budget PC. However there is never an excuse for using such a low quality PSU. $30 will get you a super basic not amazing but not a firecracker PSU. It's well worth it because you do not want that diablotek and whatever scam company (probably Deer or some shit) put it together running power through your PC.

How's my build? There doesn't seem to be any incompatibilities. Any lower-priced stuff that can perform around the same as I'm hoping to get out of this build? Planning on OCing the 390 to get the most of out its use. The 850w is just because I'm paranoid about all the other bells and whistles that mobo has. Is the case good? Am I doing good? Is $1500 reasonable, or could I go cheaper with the same power output?

It's not about that, anon. I just had very bad experiences with MSI in the past and wouldn't trust them with my money anymore. Gigabyte is a preferable alternative.

Also, about the case being too big. Would that mean there would be a good amount of air flow, or would that much space just end up being problematic?

I don't know the prices in America.
Regardless, any other brand is a cheaper option since their hard drives won't fail after 2 weeks of use, so you won't have to buy a new one.

At my workplace, the container of broken hard drives is about 90% Seagate, despite only half the desktops having Seagate drives.

You don't need to go full tower for what you're building. A nice mid tower with good airflow is more than enough. Look up the S340, it's a nice case. And if you aren't completely retarded about the fan directions, you'll have a good airflow going on. You'll save about $100 dollars doing this.
