Apple makes intuitive devices. Stupid people can grok intuitive devices more easily, but the notion that intelligent people don't benefit is itself utterly stupid.

If you've never heard of Task Load Index or done user experience research, I'm sure the only easy way to reconcile Apple's dominance is to say that they don't appeal to the intelligentsia that is 4chan's wizened fa/g/gots. Otherwise, you should know better.

I made this comment a couple days ago, here's a condensed version:

If time is money, rich people's time is more valuable. Or rather, high income, or intelligence. Less time spent faffing about with the phone means more time making money. So for high incomes it balances out.

And for low incomes it can also balance out: If you're so fucking stupid that working out android and its myriad of shitty devices to find a good one takes a large amount of time, even at minimum wage, since you're stupid, you actually save money with a simpler device.

In shorter: Rich people's time is worth a lot so short savings means lots of money, and stupid people's time might not be worth much but they save a LOT of time so it works out financially viable.

Looks like you're on the bottom rung of the iPhone user demographic.
If you make $500 an hour, saving 10 minutes faffing about with an android will make up the difference in cost an iPhone will net you.

It really doesn't fucking matter what phone you use anymore. iPhones are fine and Android phones are fine. Both have their pros and cons. The things you complain about only matter to a tiny group of consumers.

Fact is most people won't even connect their phones to their PCs anymore, there's no need to for most people.

Android's file manager is easily one of its best strengths. There have been times where I've taken advantage of it and thought 'Neat, that was pretty convenient.' Whereas with an iOS device it requires a bit more unnecessary busywork.

I think you need to remember that because Android gives users the most options out of any mobile operating system, that in itself automatically will turn users away from the OS. It's too overwhelming, as ridiculous as that may sound to you. Apple really does exceed at making an OS as simple as possible that some of the most technologically challenged people can manage to get the hang of using an iOS device. It's because the user really only has so many options and the options laid out to them appear pretty obvious as a result.

I've used both iPhones and Android phones over the years and it's gotten to a point where it just doesn't matter anymore, I don't care which one I use. I can get what I need to do done just fine on either device. Sure, some things may work better on one device or another but at the end of the day they're both totally usable.
