Not him but lightning crashes whenever I try to download anything.

Its not really "debotnetted". Isn't it basically built on the same AOSP Browser Chromium? Chromium is still built in such a way that it isn't as customizable or privacy-friendly as Firefox. For instance, it still auto-logs you into the same Google account on your device, if you have one. A cursory reading on the CAF browser itself suggests its actually "More Chrome than Chromium" which would mean more botnetted.

Lighting/Naked use the Webview rendering engine, which is built in in Android - they're basically just a GUI for it.

Chrome/ium comes with Blink, which is Chromium's own - and it has to come with the browser. Firefox is like this, too. It uses Gecko.

I don't think you understand what Chromium or even Chrome actually is so I'll educate you, you ignorant fool.

Chromium is the Webkit-based foundation that Google helped create several years ago - it is the bare minimum browser that has no additional "bonus" features like PDF reader, the Flash (now PepperFlash) plugin, or anything else.

Chrome is Chromium with all the bonus shit actually installed and functional.

Chromium will never have the bonus shit because it's what's used to make Chrome in the first place. So you either choose to use Chromium which is fast and lean and not bloated because it's not designed to be that way, or you use Chrome which adds the bloat to Chromium.

Pay attention.

I just did a Jetstream browser benchmark on my HTC One M7 comparing Chrome Beta and CAF.

19,357 points on Chrome Beta
22,097 points on CAF

So about a 10% improvement in performance over Chrome beta. I like the night mode feature. Looks like I got a new main browser.

Yeah but it stays black with regular chrome because of the black space around the tabs. If the black space would change to the color change of the notification bar it would look good.

Also, Chromium is fast on mobile compare to most browsers.
