Script on whole website

Hello /g/uys, sorry to bother you here but I don't know where else to turn to. I need some help regarding a website.
I have made a php script which is in www.mypage.com/script , on the server there are no folders in the script directory. How can I make the script work on links like www.mysite.com/script/a4312 ?

is your script in /script/index.php?
what webserver are you using?
you'll probably want to rewrite /script/a4312 to /script/index.php?q=a4312 or something like that and handle the rest in your PHP.

yes, my script is the whole index.php, webserver is linux x86, and I'm not sure if that works because I'm going to have about 90000 links, all like script/A12345 and script/A2314 etc.

Basically, the script checks the last part of the URL, www.site.com/script/A1234, ti compares the A1234 or other links to the links I have in the data base and redirect the page accordingly, if A1234 is in the database it's redirected to www.site.com/accout/A1234 , if not to site.com/accout/0000

linux is your OS, not the webserver. i'm talking about apache, nginx. what are you using?

do something like this:

<?php
if (isset($_GET['q']) && isValidLink($_GET['q']))
{
 redirectTo($_GET['q']);
}
?>

obviously, you'll have to implement isValidLink (check if that link exists in your database) and redirectTo (build new url, set redirect headers) according to your specific requirements.

Yes, it runs apache. This is the script, it works, it checks the part after the last / with what I have in a txt and redirect acordingly, but I don't know how to get it to work on all other links. Can I isValidLink to work on parts of the site that don't have index.php ?

you have to redirect all your traffic to index.php. You can do this in your .htaccess file.

RewriteEngine on
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteRule ^(.*) index.php [L]

Then just catch all the traffic in index.php and handle the links as you want.

ok, can this work only for the links after the .com/script/ ? And if the page is redirected from /script/123 to /script/ when script will get the last part after the / won't it only get "script" and not the 123 part?

place index.php inside /script/ and use

RewriteRule ^script/(.*) script/index.php [L]

if you really insist on using a subfolder.

also, learn some fucking basic php
