Chrome is NOT REQUIRED. All you need to do is install pipelight for silverlight compatibility and Netflix WILL work in Firefox on Linux.

Just like you can install the latest version of Flash in Firefox on Linux with pepperflash.

Blame Microsoft, not Linux. They refuse to port Silverlight because they're deliberately trying to kill desktop Linux.

You can watch Netflix, though. It works out of the box on Ubuntu and you can install pipelight on Mint.
