what's my benefit compared to ubuntu? I am not OP, just some random guy thinking about switching.

It's just for my laptop for uni, programming and reading emails

OP here

I'm switching cuz Ubuntu is bloated and doesn't work well on my laptops (hibernation and suspending problems).

I only need terminal windows and a web browser so wanted something lighter and more stable.

this work perfectly fine for me (T420). Except that I got a bug since 15.10 - sometimes when it awakes from sleep my WLAN just stops working. dunno why. After reboot everythings alright again. Just happens rarely, but sometimes it does.

My Intention would be to get rid of the bloat, too. Have a little bit more performance
