It still uses very little power, you use more power in 5 minutes of ironing your shirt than a 19" CRT uses in a month.

The older ones give off a high frequency whine, but the later 100hz ones from 2001-2007ish I can't tell.

Besides, the older-faggy you get, the less you can hear those frequencies.

144Hz monitors are really good. They don't look as good as CRT but it is defenitly as close as low latency and high refresh rate as CRT without having a giant ass block. Also 1080p
