switching from surewest (consolidated cummunications) to comcast, they dropped the cable boxes and modem and router off last week but i live in sketchy neighborhood and someone stole it while i was at work. today my wife goes to pick them up from the store and they gave us only this i guess.

my old set up was modem hosting the cable box and the router, all by ethernet no rf cable or any of that. i dont even know if we have one of those round cable ports in the wall. so this thing seems useless to me.

also not sure if the modem is surewest provided or our own, they shut the service tomorrow and we want the internet transition to xfinity but i dont know what i need them to provide to me when i go to their store.

do i take this box back and if so wtf do they need to give me, i dont want to rent a router from them or anything. what are your xfinity set ups like??
