should i get a surface 3 for uni?
i think it would be useful for note taking and holding all my e-textbooks but the surface 3 + pen+ type cover comes to ~600 USD but i'm cheap so i don't want to spend the money

i had the sp1, sp2, sp3. i loved em. but then my role moved from a designer to more email and transfer of information style engineering, but still lots of plane stuff so i wanted a light laptop.

xps 13 scratches my itch. the ONE thing i miss about the surface is using it during takeoff and landing... i was so smug....
i got the i5 5th gen 70 days ago and loved it so much the second they announced the skylake one i bought that too, giving the i5 to my brother whos still on a lenovo u310

It's truly an amazing device, but it has the following issues that should be addressed in software.

First of all, the Intel display driver. It crashes randomly sometimes.

Second, sometimes when the keyboard is attached Windows doesn't recognize the trackpad for a bit. So you need to reattach it.

Third, Windows might sometimes become unresponsive to touch input when waking and attaching the keyboard. Had to do a restart.

Luckily all these issues can be resolved in software. Other than what I mentioned, the Surface Pro 4 really is my favorite device. Having the flexibility of the Type cover/Touch screen/Pen input is just so useful.

Gets 25 hours combined battery life with my 16000mAh battery bank.

It's the default, included drawing application with their hardware. It should be showcasing the hardware functions that they boast about. Expecting Windows developers to do that is sloppy. After all, MS started the Surface line because they had to show the hardware makers how to make a fucking proper touch based Windows computer.
