Can anyone explain this bullshit?

I just bought a new HDD from a reputable manufacturer, I formatted it to NTFS and ran corruption tests on the HDD.

After formatting, all files I copy over are all fragmented! Defraggler reports 99% fragmentation, which makes no sense as I'm only copying from one HDD to another one at a time, the new HDD is empty and recently formatted, and not that is matters but the source files themselves are NOT fragmented.

So confused right now.

Now that I arranged files by size, I see even 4GB DVD ISO files are fragmented! How is that possible, since the OS should have just been coping over the single large ISO file. But my OS has copied files over fine without fragmenting everything, so it can't be the OS. I'm at a loss of what to blame. Perhaps defraggler? Or I got a bad HDD?

Anyway I think it's because I'm a retard and decided to allow HDD compression that I'm getting odd defraggler results. If anyone else knows about how HDD compression could affect a fragmentation analysis I'd love to know.
