Hell, that' why AdBlock Edge was created before any of the uBlock programs, for people who wanted to object to this crap.
Now it seems that uBlock Origin not only has significantly more options for ad blocking lists by default, but uses less resources and has other features as well.
Anyone who asserts that Ublock Origin is only hiding the ad frames visually but still parsing them better man up with proof, because this should be an easily detected element since the addons is FOSS. I find it hard to believe it would be doing this at all, much less on Firefox (if it happened anywhere, I could see it on Chrome/ium because people forget that Chrome used to prohibit ad blockers from actually blocking ads ).
