ive been using the wrong fingers for the b and c keys and using only the left shift for capital letters and symbols.

Those with keen eyes may notice that the cockslap key is different from the rest. This one's especially cool: It actually locks in place when you press it down, and then releases when you press it a second time.

If it's anything like my MK-50, it's going to be pretty darned solid.

My favorite part is how the viking runes are all jumbled up between the three languages, so if you have to look at the legend to figure out which key to press, it won't help you at all.

Yes, it's just like typing two zero's.
I think 000 is more useful, for typing millions/billions/etc
I don't know of any financial programs that don't simply default to 00 when you skip the cents field.

So I've been using a Razer Blackwidow Ultimate 2013 for almost 3 years now (will be this upcoming january) and Razer Deathadder 2013 for almost 2. I've noticed that the keys seem to be much harder to press down in comparison to how I remember how the keyboard was when I first got it. I've noticed that my hands get easily fatigued when using the keyboard when typing or playing games. The mouse is wearing down as well. I had to superglue the rubber grip back on one side of it, and it seems that the It seems that the buttons are sort of coming out of place... I think I may need a new keyboard and mouse soon.

I want a much lighter switch... I want something lighter on my fingers, something without that tactile click. I also want a mouse that's long enough for my fingers.

Upon doing some research it seems that cherry mx reds are the way to go. And the only mouse that seemed acceptable is the zowie fk1. I used a logitech wireless mouse for quite a few years... I don't like that curvy looking design at all. I like the style of the deathadder mouse.

The question is... What keyboard do I get? What mouse do I get?

The two sets that I own are Ducky blue/grey (with etched legends) and Gateron bright white. I'm typing with the latter right now, and you can order a set here:

I see that there are a few leftover Gateron sets of different colours from an earlier GB:

The Duckys are a tiny bit thicker, but have stem marks (only visually obvious on the space bar). The legends break up the smoothness of the cap surfaces, which is not as nice to the touch. It's kind of visually nice as a subtle legend, though.

I quite like the blank, pure white of the caps against the black of my NovaTouch. It's a simple kind of aesthetic that's nice from time to time.

I'm on the verge of ordering a Ducky One with blues. Is there any reason I should get a Shine 4 or Legend over the One? The One seems to be the only board with double shot caps. Should I care about this?

The Shine 5 will also have double shot caps.

Doubleshot caps are nice, but it also depends on how thick they are. But if it's stock ABS caps, doubleshot is certainly better than not doubleshot.

Great feeling keyboard. You'll love it. But I was shocked at how loud it is. I type hard but it is just plain loud. I have cherry greens but this is significantly louder.

You buy a black or red keyboard and install superblack switches. It can be installed into the blue one, the Durandal I actually bought had blue switches originally but they were not the best for gaming and coding, only for heavy typing so I removed them.
Shame on me, the blue switched board was the cheapest.

Only downside of a Durandal: it's not metal. It has a design plate which wishes to look like metal but is actually just well designed plastic and because of this the whole picture just feels a bit off. But I can't say anything bad about the quality.

Just look for gaming peripherals online stores in your country, they usually carry a number of mechs.

So about a year ago I put gun oil in the keyswitches on my razer blackwidow 2013. It made them much softer and the tactile click less audible, they sound more like browns.

What kind of switch would be best for me if I actually type faster on rubber domes than on MX Blues?

I can get 105-110 WPM on my Logitech wireless rubber done keyboard but only get ~90 and sometimes 95 (if I'm in a good mood) on my MX Blues.

Mechanicals aren't that quiet by default, but if you go with a non-clicky switch you should be fine.

You could also install o-rings, but that'd mess with the backlighting.

Otherwise, the matias quietclick keyboards may be of interest to you, but those don't come with backlighting and you won't find a huge amount of aftermarket caps either since the switches are alps variants.

I'd recommend you clears, but I doubt you'll find a board with those for under a hundred bucks.

I haven't tested the g910, but I got the 410 as a gift a few days ago. Same switches but normal keycaps, it feels really nice for typing and vidyagaems. The closest thing would be MX Browns with o-rings I think, but it feels just slightly more like a membrane keyboard.
