>actually doing productive stuff after 6 pm
>doing online job applications while using almost expired microsoft word

>decide to go through some of the programming book that I was planning to go through
>switch to ubuntu
>dual boot doesn't work (no idea why) and I have to hold shift while pressing restart to get to ubuntu in some weird way (this is how I usually do it)
>start ubuntu
>ubuntu updates offered
>try to download them
>they start downloading quickly but then stops and says it failed
>supposedly my wifi connection wasn't good
>try to install ruby
>go to terminal and type "sudo synaptic"
>use synaptic to install ruby
>installation fails halfway through for some incomprehensible reason
>go to ruby website to install it
>wifi stops being detected
>wifi works flawlessly for all other computers in house
>try disabling wifi and then enabling wifi on ubuntu
>now it can't even detect wifi networks
>posting this using windows 8
>search for macbooks on amazon
>they're less than £1000 (but i'm still a poorfag)

Welp, I hate to say it, but should I just give in? I just want to do werk and get shit done. Or should I man up and use powershell on windows (although I'm sure there's a gajillion other reasons why should use non-windows)?

I'm also hesitant to leave windows because it has word, I can torrent word, or anything.

What are your thoughts? Though I have to say that Windows is an absolute holocaust (except it actually exists). At this point I prefer using the internet on my hpone
