>>51079126Generally there is a copper wire so it can be tracked with a metal detector. Sometimes when lazy workers place it in the ditch the wire trends to drift to either side if not pulled tight.
So either the cable was out of range of acceptable tolerance for where it was marked. Or the locator didn't do their job properly.
Also if it was marked at all, the operator of the machine should get an assreaming for not making the laborers physically find the cable and look at it with his own eyes.
