Hi /g/ee,
I'm in a funny situation at work:
- Less than a year there
- Recently moved to a small team, we are only 2 devs
- This other dev was the one that started the project, has had no oversight over the years, and the result is a mess: no tests, empty commit messages, binaries in the git repo, files like
- Managers are not technical (see, they don't know how to make a git commit)
- Rest of the team is clueless on how2software
An overall shit project with shit management. When I asked the dev to start making commits more descriptive and with the right format, he told me to fuck off. I've talked to the managers about this but they seem to sweep the problem under the rug. We use Gerrit and I can see all his commits and the horrors included there. I cannot verify and submit that shit.
1) Wat do
2) Been in a similar situation?
