when i get my moto g 3rd gen, should i root it and unlock its bootloader to install a custom rom? or should i just stick with stock android? also which roms should i pick out? is cyanogen a meme?
new to android so sorry if this sound retarded

Some nightly release are buggy (playing music lags my phone) but overall they are quite good. Lack of gapps also increase battery life by a large margin

Is your phone completley updated? The bootloader can be unlocked only if you have an earlier release. Root still might be possible but an unlocked bootloader lets you install better roms to remove all the verizon shit.
