Hey /g/, how do into linux? I have a shitty little laptop I use for school and I figure it would make more sense to run linux to save battery life and not run 60% CPU every time I open excel. I basically know nothing about how/what to install and how to operate it afterwards.

Only thing I need to be able to do is use MS word + excel, adobe pdf (or equivalent) and browse the web. Whats my best option?
