I have an iPhone 5 which released in 2012 and its perfectly usable. Yeah I'd like to upgrade it but I don't NEED to, it does everything with satisfactory speed and ease. And it's still on the latest OS nearly 4 years after release.
I've had similar Android phones in the past that just grind to crappy speeds after 1.5 years, and anything Android based as old as my 5 would probably not even be comparable to the performance I get out of it.
I like Android but you can't ignore that Apple devices are both worth more and run more satisfactory for much longer. Not because they are better mind. But because it's one set of hardware and software Apple develop for so it's all really optimised etc.
You know this, ya'll just mad (probably)
