What's the easiest game to make in C for a class project? Things like checkers or some card game.

It's just a randomized array full of characters where you check if they're equal.

text based rpg
i made one in BASIC before i even knew what an array or loop was.
it was a hacked together mess of GOTOs and a bunch of nonsense. it had alt-endings and multiple bosses. overall pretty decent for what my skill level was at the time tbh.

I wasn't even aware of how to loop. i used no books or tutorials, just kept referencing back to the BASIC's documentation whenever i needed to do something.
I basically had it loop through GOTOs. im not claiming it was good... at all. but it was impressive for how little i knew.

true, but it wasn't a for, while, or do. it was just GOTO's tacked onto dozens of lines of:
if elseif elseif elseif ...(like ten more of these) else

This I agree. My cousin made one with a graphing calculator, ti84?, back whenever they first came out, I can't imagine it'd be harder with a computer. I know nothing of this topic btw.
