>>51087067You don't have to be picky with plasmas but if you understand the hardware inside and out you can pick up an old monitor and tweak the fuck out of it
Panasonic or Pioneer(later models) are great but there are pitfalls with certain models, just remember to always supply a consistent frame rate, plasmas do not like it when you drop below the nominal refresh rate (30fps games can cause headaches at 60hz)
If you already have a plasma and it doesn't have proper 24p support you should really consider using MPV player for all your video based media because it can correct for this fps/refresh mismatch

It's so good you might even prefer that to the built in 24p support on some units, I overclocked my plasma from nominal 60hz to 85hz and it looks even better
