The original incentive is that they can bring people in to work for them for salaries significantly lower than the US industry standard while still being higher than home countries of such workers such as India, Eastern Europe, etc.

Now employers also get an additional $10,000. making them far more interested in Foreign talent over Americans.

US wages reduced, employment faces a lot more competition. Now you not only have to be earning them enough money for it to be worthwhile vs a foreign worker, you also have to be enticing enough to make them value you over an additional $10k (very difficult for new grads entering the workforce out of college).

It's really just cucking your own country... Benefiting other nations and their people at the expense of your own.

The real reason the U.S. "GOVERNMENT" wants to encourage employers to hire foreign BORN, U.S. EDUCATED students is because they don't want more natural born citizens to realize how badly the privacy invading policies introduced by lobbyists so these corporations can do the things they do are.

A foreign born citizen is going to think, "hey, not my problem. This isn't my "home". I don't need to feel pity for these americans giving away personal information". And when the GOVERNMENT is done with them, the corporations can fire them or relocate them to their home country so they can expand their reach even further.

Look at the bigger picture. Why would homeland security; a department whose sole goal is to prepare for, prevent, and respond to domestic emergencies (such as terrorism), draft a plan for a program to have employers hire foreign born, U.S. educated STEM students?

Neither the education sector nor the employment sector are under jurisdiction of DHS.

One reason being, one who might think like they do means that they are pushing this into action to keep ordinary citizens from learning the truth. To keep citizens mindless, buying drones that support MURRIKA. Mindless piggy banks who don't know any better have no need to apply for STEM positions, even if it was their major. No, the american needs to be easily controlled and the american needs to buy.

Not to be smart. Not to think "outside the box". Not to think for themselves. And especially not to question their government.

That is why the pay is so good. Not having enough engineers means that shitbag MBAs that want STEM majors to work for free have to make the hard decision about paying someone what they are worth.
