No idea how they could fuck this up so bad, but I've never had that many bugs, even worse than Lion. Most of the fuck ups in Lion were graphical issues, but now it's like Finder, Preview and Safari freeze once every hour each. Or try that (very fucking stupid btw) side-by-side fullscreen mode. Good fucking luck. I'm not sure whether Apple has ever released a software feature that buggy.

Also, I'm not sure why everyone keeps saying El Capitan is so stable etc. Easily the most unstable version of OS X for a long time. And I'm not running it on an old machine or anything.

I really wanted it to be OP but it's not. It was poorly thought out, poorly built, and buggy. Long story short, it has serious issues with the display drivers crashing, and it likely won't last more than a year before something on it falls apart.

Snow Leopard was a clusterfuck at launch, too. Apple always needs at least 4 major updates to unfuck their shit, and sometimes they never do.

It's pretty inevitable, given how small Apple's OS dev teams are.

But some of the dumbing down is ridiculous. You can't even choose different times for display sleep and computer sleep anymore.

Reasons why i prefered OSX over Windows was mission control and that you had to click on a window to scroll in it in Windows. Both is in Windows 10, plus it has window snapping since W7 which OSX still hasn't. Except for that retarded full screen mode.

Macbook Pro, Vaio Z and Kirabook are top tier laptops. There are some Japanese laptops like the NEC Lavie Z(not the chink version) that are amazing as well, but they must be imported.

Aside from that you have enterprise laptops like the EliteBook that are reliable and well built, but not much else.
