I'm about to buy my first tablet today. I'm not an apple shill so no ipads. I want a small one, 8 or 9". It'll probably be the Z3 Tablet Compact. I have a 175? voucher for a local electronics store, so it would cost me about 200?. Anyone here that has this tablet? How's the speed and battery life? Do CM/AOSP Roms run well?

I was also looking at the Nexus 9, but that one is rarely in stock and costs about 100? more.

Just get a windows tab if you refuse to get an iPad.

This is always difficult with Xperia devices, as the camera software is locked up with DRM keys. They're hardcoded to wipe the partition the DRM keys are stored on if you unlock the bootloader. So if you want to install a custom kernel you end up nerfing camera quality.

I do recall someone working on a workaround for this. Check with the curry niggers on XDA before buying to see where that's at.

i have a white one
battery life has been good, work/load speed too
waterproofness is nice

don't have any complaints so far
but i don't really use it much and I keep stock android
