It may be a few inches bigger but the T420 also has a larger resolution, which is more ideal if your not working with an extra monitor. I would also recommend upgrading your ram and getting an ultrabase if your going to use it a lot. Don't forget to install gentoo on it and get a couple lainchan stickers to plaster on its lid.
